Dear Parents of Grade 4 students,
We are very excited to offer an after school archery program to our grade 4 students this year. This club is heavily subsidized through donations from the the Safari Club International, AHEIA and the Brazeau Bowbenders. As a result of these donations we are able to office this extra-curricular activity at a minimal cost to students. To cover the cost of instructor re-certification, wear and tear on the equipment and the future purchase of new arrows each student will need to pay a fee of $25.00. All of our instructors have taken the Basic Archery Instructor Training offered by NASP to ensure quality instruction and safety for all participants.
We will be offering this program from 3:30 - 4:30 on Tuesdays starting January 16th, 2018 until sometime in May. The first two sessions are MANDATORY as we will be covering safety rules and proper handling of the bows. Space, number of bows and time is limited so the first 30 registrations handed in to Mrs. Claffey will be accepted. Please complete and return permission form and proof of payment by December 15th.
Conditions for Participation
- Students must be picked up promptly at 4:30 as there will be no supervision after that
- Siblings of participants are not allowed to watch or wait at school as there is no supervision for them
- Range rules and school rules apply. There will be zero tolerance for misbehavior due to the nature of the club. Misbehavior will result in the withdrawal of this after school privilege.
We look forward to meeting our new Aurora Archers!
Sincerely,
Your Aurora Archery Instructors
Mrs. Claffey, Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Snider
